Mikel Obi and John Terry shine as Chelsea beat Bayern 4-0 in legends game for Gianluca Vialli

Mikel Obi, a Super Eagles hero, plays at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea beats Bayern Munich 4-0 in a game honoring Gianluca Vialli.

Legendary Super Eagles of Nigeria player Mikel Obi has resurfaced on social media.

The former Nigerian captain made a comeback to the scene by playing for Premier League powerhouse Chelsea in a friendly match.

On Saturday night at Stamford Bridge, the Chelsea Legends trounced the Bayern Munich Legends 4-0 thanks to goals from Michael Essien, John Terry, Gary Cahill, and Tiago.

The powerful starting lineup for the Blues featured several Premier League legends, including Petr Cech, Terry, Cahill, Jon Obi-Mikel, and Michael Essien.

Gianfranco Zola, who was also named as a replacement, showed off his enduring strength with a spectacular assist.

Gianluca Vialli was remembered throughout the game, as the Blues team posed for a photo next to his unmistakable number nine shirt before kickoff.

Many recognizable figures returned to Chelsea as their heroes took the field in front of a packed Stamford Bridge.

By latching onto Ramires’ cross and directing it in, Essien gave the Blues a good start.

Malouda provided the pass for Terry, who then slipped the ball home in front of the Chelsea supporters and raised his arm in the air as he scored his unofficial 68th goal for the side.

The Blues held a sizable lead going into the halftime break.

When Claude Makelele entered the game, he rapidly gained control of the ball before passing it to Zola in the wide area, who then found Tiago, who then passed it to Cahill for the third goal.

The playmaker intercepted a pass from Essien, chipped the ball over the goalie from six yards away, and finished the score.

It was a huge relief for the Blues faithful to have something to cheer about at Stamford Bridge thanks to the event’s charitable fundraising efforts after a terrible start to the Premier League season.
