Manchester United supporters dubbed BRUNO FERNANDES the “best in the world” after he provided a HAT-TRICK of assists in Portugal’s record-breaking victory.
The 29-year-old midfielder even managed to score as his side defeated Luxembourg 9-0 in Monday’s Euro 2024 qualifier.

Fernandes opened the scoring in the 12th minute at the Estadio Algarve, using the outside of his foot to cross the ball into the head of Goncalo Inacio.
He subsequently provided another assist for Inacio right before the halftime break.
In the second period, he added his third assist by floating a wonderful pass over the top for Liverpool’s Diogo Jota to rush on and finish to make it 5-0.
Fernandes then added to the tally by hammering home from close range for the eighth goal of the nine-goal thrashing.
Despite his and United’s rocky start to the Premier League season, he maintained his great form on the international scene.
Fernandes has been personally involved in more Euro qualification goals than any other player this season, with four assists and three goals in six games.
And, after seeing snippets of his recent spectacular performance for Portugal on social media, United fans flocked to Twitter to praise their coach.
“Best in the world,” declared one as another said he was “running the show”.
Another called him “Magnifico” as a fellow United supporter labelled the ace a “creative machine”.
The result was also the largest win in Portugal’s history, surpassing the 8-0 triumph against Liechtenstein and Kuwait.
And if they win at home against second-placed Slovakia on October 13 and Luxembourg loses away to Iceland, they would qualify for next summer’s Euros in Germany with three games to spare.
