Scott McTominay’s lack of desire was exposed when footage emerged of the loss to Bayern Munich

Manchester United fans have expressed their frustration towards Scott McTominay for what they perceive as a lack of effort and determination to regain possession during the team’s 4-3 defeat against Bayern Munich. McTominay was substituted into the match in the 69th minute, replacing Christian Eriksen, as United was trailing 3-1 and in need of a change.

However, just ten minutes into his appearance, the Scottish international lost the ball near Bayern’s penalty area and appeared to lack the desire or urgency to recover possession. Fans have criticized McTominay for what they consider a “disgusting” display of effort, as they expected more from him in such a crucial moment of the match.

Damning footage of the incident sent United fans into a fury, as they labelled the midfielder’s lack of desire as ‘disgusting’ as he casually jogged back to defend while Bayern burst into life and counter-attacked.

A United fan account shared the clip of McTominay, pointing out how he had only been on the pitch for 10 minutes when the incident occurred.
