Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, and Karim Benzema wore traditional Saudi attire to mark the Kingdom’s 93rd National Day on September 23.
The unique day, also known as Al-Yaom-ul-Watany, commemorates the Kingdom’s unity.
Neymar and other Al-Hilal players dressed in traditional Saudi attire, including a “thobe” (traditional robe), “shemagh” (headscarf), and “aqal” (headband), to perform the Ardha traditional dance.
It was an eventful day in Saudi Arabia, especially for players at Saudi Pro League clubs who were celebrating their first national day.
The Brazilian footballer was not the only SPL star in attendance. Al-Ittihad striker Karim Benzema, as well as Al-Nassr striker Cristiano Ronaldo and colleague Sadio Mane, wore traditional garb.
On Instagram, Benzema posted a selfie of himself dressed completely in the outfit, which received 2.3 million likes. Ronaldo donning the thobe received 1.7 million likes on Al-Nassr’s post. The post by Neymar received 4.2 million likes.
