Neymar fails to convert an Al Hilal penalty while club icon Salem Al-Dawsari is on the field

Neymar failed to score for Al Hilal on Friday when he was awarded a penalty against Al Shabab.

Neymar, who paid £77 million to join the Saudi Pro League squad from Paris Saint-Germain, has had a challenging debut for his new team.

Since making his major financial move, he has failed to score and had to refute rumors that he and manager Jorge Jesus got into a fight in the dressing room.

The Brazilian mispronounced his lines from the spot against Al Shabab, continuing his poor performance.

Just before halftime, Al Hilal was handed a penalties, and the Brazilian took it instead of club icon Salem Al-Dawsari, who had already had a penalty this season.

However, Neymar struck the post with his 12-yard attempt, and Bono recovered the loose ball.

Nevertheless, the 31-year-old made amends in the second half when he awarded a welcoming corner kick, which Kalidou Koulibaly met and headed home to start the scoring.

After that, he set up Aleksandar Mitrovic, a former Fulham player, who eventually scored from close range, creating another goal.

With 20 points after the win, Al Hilal surpasses Al Ittihad to take the top spot in the league.
