Liverpool will have a vital returnee when it travels to Tottenham in the Premier League to try to build on the club’s strong start to the season. Jürgen Klopp’s team has won seven consecutive games, but Tottenham will surely be the most difficult test yet.
Liverpool will be put to the test away from home against a resurgent side on Saturday afternoon, and it promises to be a tense 90 minutes.
Importantly, Klopp intimated in his pre-match press conference that Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has been back in training this week, would be eligible for the weekend encounter. He stated that a final check with the medical team would be required, but the Reds’ vice-captain has been back in training for a few days already.
It remains to be known whether he will begin from the beginning. However, having a player of his caliber for such a crucial game will be a huge help for Liverpool.
Even if he only comes off the bench, Alexander-Arnold’s ability to create chances and unlock defenses might be decisive for Klopp’s team.
With the England international back in the fold, Liverpool’s first-team squad is down to only two men. Thiago Alcântara is still out, and Stefan Bajeti has’suffered a setback’ in training and will not be able to play against Spurs.
