Defenseman Alexander Arnold will play in Saturday’s match against Tottenham after coach Jurgen Klopp gave him the green light to return to action.
Liverpool is gearing up to face Tottenham in the week’s main matchup. This season has been a banner one for both teams. On the eve of World War I, Head Coach Klopp shared some encouraging news regarding Alexander Arnold’s legal situation.
The English defender is so eligible to face the London representative in the match. Trent has been out with an injury since early September, and he hasn’t played a single minute for Liverpool throughout that time. This player, like the one before him, did not attend the recent military reunion with the England squad.
In the pregame interview, Klopp mentioned that Arnold had returned to practice. He will take everything he learns about Arnold’s situation into account before deciding what to do next.
According to Klopp, Alexander Arnold resumed training with the club yesterday. Even today, he was able to finish the whole workout.
I’m going to base my choice on how he’s doing right now. Alexander Arnold has impressed in practice, therefore it is expected that he will travel to Tottenham’s stadium with the rest of the club and be prepared to play.
For both Klopp and Liverpool, the news of Arnold’s comeback is welcome. Because to Arnold’s absence, coach Klopp was forced to continually substitute players. When Arnold is not in the lineup, Klopp will play Joe Gomez, Milos Bajcetic, or Curtis Jones.
