Jimmy Butler was a guest on the show ‘Do You Actually?’ back in 2016. Butler was asked directly after his Most Improved Player award ceremony in 2015 if he had slept with the trophy. The former Chicago Bulls player laughed off the topic and instead shared some humorous anecdotes about his nightly routine.

Butler scored 20 points, grabbed 5.8 boards, and dished out 3.3 assists in his first All-Star game. ‘Jimmy G Buckets’ won the Most Improved Player award after receiving first-place votes from 92% of the voters. He improved in every major statistical category. The Bulls gave the 6’7″ forward $95 million over the course of five years after he had a career season.

Jimmy Butler has come clean about how he spends his nights

Jimmy Butler, a year after being named MIP, appeared on Do You Actually? The two-way standout fielded many questions from admirers during the duration of the conversation. Jimmy was asked some fascinating questions, including how he usually spends his time in bed.

One of Jimmy’s fans had the rather out-there request to know if he slept with the MIP trophy next to him. The actor laughed off the odd question and said he slept with his Superman nightlight. The trophy was given a permanent home on a personal shelf.

Question: “Do you actually sleep with your Most Improved (Player) trophy?”

Jimmy: “Who put that (question) on there? No! No, I sleep with my Superman nightlight… I’m a fan of Superman. I do do that. It (trophy) is at home on the shelf.”

The Marquette grad improved his filing totals more in the subsequent cycle. Based on the numbers, Butler’s 2016–17 season was the finest of his 12-year professional career. Jimmy played in those games for an average of 37 minutes per night and finished with 23.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.9 steals.

Butler also addressed inquiries about the mirrors in his vehicle

Another fan had a question about whether or not Jimmy’s autos had rear-view mirrors at the same time. Even though the idea of driving without rearview mirrors was intriguing to Butler, he gave an honest response.

No, I do not agree with it. All of my vehicles have rear-view mirrors. In my Prius, of course.

That’s awesome [if you don’t want to see the back]. But I’m not interested in buying tickets.

To start the 2023-2024 season, Jimmy would not want to dwell on the past. Even so, the Miami Heat advanced to the NBA Finals last year, giving them plenty of cause for optimism.
