Chelsea XI vs Fulham: Chukwuemeka and Broja return to the bench, Mudryk replaces Jackson’s position in the attack

Carney Chukwuemeka, a midfielder for Chelsea, may make a comeback against Fulham in today’s Premier League west London derby, although manager Mauricio Pochettino is still without a number of first-team players.

The 19-year-old is recovered from a knee injury he experienced in Chelsea’s second Premier League game of August against West Ham.

Pochettino is still without ten players following Ben Chilwell’s hamstring injury sustained during the Carabao Cup victory against Brighton in midweek.

On the treatment table with him are Reece James, Christopher Nkunku, Romeo Lavia, Benoit Badiashile, Trevoh Chalobah, Wesley Fofana, and Marcus Bettinelli.

During Sunday’s 1-0 loss to Aston Villa, Nicolas Jackson received his fifth yellow card, resulting in a one-game suspension. Malo Gusto, who was also sent off over the weekend, will play his second game of a three-game suspension on Monday.

Cole Palmer might take Jackson’s spot in a rearranged forward lineup, as Armando Broja is unlikely to be ready to play after only recently making a full recovery from a serious injury.

Mykhailo Mudryk, Palmer, and Enzo Fernandez may launch an attack with Raheem Sterling acting as a false nine.

This Premier League season, Moises Caicedo and Conor Gallagher are probably going to be the two holding midfielders in front of a back four that includes Marc Cucurella for the first time.

Pochettino must decide whether to start Ian Maatsen or Cucurella in place of Chilwell.

In front of Robert Sanchez, Axel Disasi might play right back while Thiago Silva and Levi Colwill play center back.

Predicted Chelsea XI: Sanchez; Disasi, Thiago Silva, Colwill, Cucurella; Caicedo, Gallagher; Palmer, Enzo, Mudryk; Sterling

Injuries: James, Nkunku, Lavia, Badiashile, Chalobah, Fofana, Bettinelli

Suspended: Jackson, Gusto
