Manager Erik ten Hag has declared that Antony is prepared to rejoin the Manchester United team for their Champions League match against Galatasaray on Tuesday.

The Brazilian player hasn’t competed in the last month due to allegations that he assaulted three women. Six days after returning to the UK by plane from South America, Antony, who refutes all of the accusations, has spoken with police in Manchester and São Paulo.

The 23-year-old was placed on fully paid leave by United, but the team revealed on Friday that he would be joining the first squad again.

Ten Hag then stated that he will evaluate the player’s mental condition before determining whether or not to include him. He also verified that Antony will be available for selection following his conversation with the player prior to the Group A match against Galatasaray.

“We’ll take Anthony into consideration,” the United manager declared. His first day back to team training was yesterday; it was the last workout before the decision was made. Thus, he is being thought about.

“I can confirm, yeah, Licha Martinez will have to undergo surgery,” Ten Hag said, confirming Lisandro Martinez’s foot surgery on Monday. Apparently, Antony dos Santos will be able to make a comeback.

Ten Hag made reference to the fact that Antony has not been detained or accused of any crimes when he was questioned about the message that the player’s homecoming would convey to others who have suffered domestic abuse. “He cooperated completely, and it turned out he’s not charged,” Ten Hag stated.

Antony witnessed United’s worst league season-opening weekend in thirty-four years on Saturday when they were defeated by Crystal Palace from the Old Trafford stands.

Following a defeat to Bayern Munich in the first round of the Champions League two weeks ago, Ten Hag’s team is in desperate need of a victory to resume their campaign.

“We are obviously disappointed with the Palace outcome,” Ten Hag continued. “You need to analyze the game; there were issues, and you need to go forward while also offering fixes.”

“The team is making progress, but we also need to make some adjustments.” We had to make a move because we don’t have a full-back on the left side.

There were undoubtedly shortcomings in our game, but there were also undoubtedly advantages. Ultimately, though, the outcome matters, and we didn’t receive the outcome. Naturally, that is really upsetting.
