Andre Onana is a “disaster” in light of MU’s string of losses. Erik ten Hag continued to try to shield and irritate despite the harsh criticism and reactions from the crowd.

 

In the second Champions League match between MU and Galatasaray at Old Trafford, the Cameroon goalie had yet another poor performance.

Casting the ball to the opposition, Onana ‘highlighted’ his footwork skills and made Casemiro foul in the penalty area. As a result, the Brazilian midfielder was banned (after receiving a second yellow card) and MU was fined while tying 2-2.

Icardi managed to get the ball out from the 11-meter mark under duress, but it took him just 4 minutes to shut out the Red Devils and give Galatasaray a 3-2 comeback win.

In addition to the aforementioned error, Onana displayed other awkward circumstances and slow reflexes. This goalie also erred in the first game, MU 3-4 Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena, and was forced to acknowledge that his team’s loss was his fault.

In just two C1 Cup games, Onana has already let up seven goals. Erik ten Hag was not even asked a few games before by MU fans to move this risky goalie to the bench, not until after the catastrophe of last night.

One Red Devils supporter remarked, “He is the worst goalkeeper in the world,” and another said, “The biggest degradation in MU history is from De Gea to Andre Onana.”

“Onana, that is enough,” was the alternate idea that was put out. Erik ten Hag has to give Altay Bayindir more time to establish his value.”

More pressure was applied by others: “If Erik ten Hag has so brutally benched club icons like Ronaldo and De Gea, then show bravery by saving Andre Onana for MU’s upcoming games. That’s sufficient.

Fans became enraged when Erik ten Hag attempted to shield Andre Onana despite his student’s subpar performance, saying things like, “Come on, Andre Onana reached the Champions League final last season.” He has the capacity to rank among the world’s top goalkeepers.
