Ryan Gravenberch, a midfielder, had a fantastic day today as Liverpool defeated Union Saint-Gilloise 2-0 in the second game of the 2023–24 Europa League group stage with his goal. It made sense that Gravenberch, a Dutch player, was ecstatic as this was his first goal.

Alexander-Arnold abruptly took a long shot in the 44th minute, which the opposition’s goalie was unable to stop. That gave Gravenberch the chance to intervene and give Liverpool the lead. Diogo Jota added one more goal to assist The Kop win all three points during extra time in the second half.
“It’s amazing,” stated Gravenberch at the press conference following the game. Right now, I’m experiencing something truly indescribable. I believe I just scored the most noteworthy goal of my professional life.”
“It doesn’t really matter if I score a great goal or an easy goal. No matter how I score, the value remains the same—what matters is that Liverpool scores. When a football player has an opportunity to play, their confidence progressively grows.”
“Today, my teammates performed admirably. Together, they formed a strong team and ultimately emerged victorious. The youthful players of Liverpool have truly impressed me. They received it today. These days, it’s because Liverpool handled the transfer and training well.”
“Both the squad and the Liverpool supporters are currently exhibiting an extraordinary level of spirit. I’m grateful to the supporters for enabling me to play football in an ardent environment. “By burning hard on the field, I want to repay the enthusiastic support of the audience,” Gravenberch exclaimed with excitement.
