‘I Don’t Really Know You’: Kevin Durant Throws Playful Jab at Journalist Before Suns’ Preseason Opener

NBA Champion twice Kevin Durant is a man who doesn’t say much. When the celebrity does appear on interviews and podcasts, he makes it worthwhile. He recently joined in on a brief video conference interview that rapidly devolved into pleasant banter. Furthermore, this isn’t KD’s first run-in with the scribe in question. He has a history of Twitter squabbles dating back three years, and the Phoenix Suns forward chose the appropriate time to respond.

Unlike other stars, Slim Reaper does not get into heated debates with anyone. The most KD had done was vent his disdain on his X, formerly known as Twitter. Notably, he clashed with NBA star Charles Barkley over statements he made on television. He wrote, in a tweet, “I’ll never respect the words that come out ya mouth fam just deal with it.” Following that, fans saw a different side of KD.

Kevin Durant fires back at a journalist.

Kevin Durant was put on the spot by NBA Today’s Justin Termine and Eddie Johnson when speaking with them. They discussed KD’s approach for the next season extensively prior to their altercation. The superstar is expected to open his season against the Detroit Pistons in a preseason game. Everything was OK until Termine interrupted the conversation.

He began by asking, “What do you think of Eddie Johnson as a person.” Durant sidestepped the topic by claiming he loves him, but he added sharply, “You though!” Termine answers promptly, claiming that he was the one who defended him from Eddie. The Suns great went on to explain that he understands Eddie going after him because he played meaningful games. Notably, Johnson played in the league for 17 seasons before transitioning to broadcasting.

KD, on the other hand, had problems with Termine. “I’m not sure if you’ve played any meaningful games,” he remarked. I don’t know who you are.”

As previously stated, their feud extends back three years.

The verbal altercation between KD and Termine

KD was in Brooklyn at the moment, playing alongside Kyrie Irving. During that time, Termine questioned Irving’s support, according to Bleacher Report.

Durant responded by tagging Termine and tweeting, “He is good at basketball.”

He went on to belittle the significance of fan votes in the league. Years later, the pair had a go at each other.
