SIX Jürgen Klopp stars set to miss out Brighton clash

Liverpool will face Brighton on Sunday in its first Premier League match since being denied a goal at Tottenham by a massive VAR error. The Reds will be seeking to close the gap on Tottenham again.

Despite Yves Bissouma getting sent off for a second bookable offense on Saturday, Ange Postecoglou’s side narrowly defeated Luton Town. Meanwhile, after the Liverpool game, Manchester City will meet Arsenal in a massive match at the Emirates Stadium.

The Reds will have to make some key decisions for the encounter, notably in midfield. Curtis Jones has been suspended, and Thiago Alcântara and Stefan Bajeti will both be absent until the conclusion of the international break.

That means Ryan Gravenberch, or possibly Wataru End, might start from the start. If the latter came in to start, Alexis Mac Allister would very certainly be pushed forward.

In attack, Diogo Jota is also suspended, while Cody Gakpo is poised to miss out due to injury, though his problem is not as serious as some feared when he walked off against Tottenham Hotspur Stadium just after scoring the equalizer.

That means Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nez, and Luis Daz will likely start up front, with Ben Doak available off the bench. If Salah moves inside, Harvey Elliott could be an option from the right.

Alisson was always expected to start in goal, but the absence of Caoimhn Kelleher has technically weakened Klopp’s ranks even further. He missed the most recent Europa League game for Liverpool due to knee surgery, and he is out of Ireland’s team for the next matchups.
