Rasmus Højlund and Alejandro Garnacho to McTominay

In Saturday’s matchup between Manchester United and Brentford, Scott McTominay came up with the solution. With United behind 1-0, McTominay entered the game in the 87th minute.

He scored goals in the 93rd and 97th minutes to give United the victory and raise the roof of Old Trafford. As United gave their fans one of their famed late flourishes and the stadium dissolved into frenzy, Ten Hag pounded the air and McTominay dropped to his knees.

Rasmus Hjlund and Alejandro Garnacho offered McTominay their congrats following the IG match.

“It has to be a turning point but also a restart because we have to get into higher levels,” Ten Hag said after the match. “The spirit is good, the belief is good and the team is together. We have shown that, we have shown strong character. It can be a turning point but it is up to us.
