After yesterday’s 4-1 victory over Burnley, Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher was quick to sing the praises of teammate Cole Palmer.
Conor Gallagher praised 21-year-old Cole Palmer on Instagram after the latter scored a penalty and set up Chelsea’s fourth goal in their win at Turf Moor.
After Palmer submitted a message on the game’s outcome, Gallagher commented, “Love it bro well done.”
Palmer scored his first goal for Chelsea, a penalty, against Vincent Kompany’s team in his debut. Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City in the summer.
After the international break, Mauricio Pochettino will want to see more of the same from his оffensive midfielder when Spurs face London rivals Arsenal.
Cole Palmer has every right to be praised.
With the score tied at one, it was Palmer’s decision to shoot the penalty that Chelsea was awarded for a foul on Raheem Sterling.
The manager was probably happy with the young player’s performance because of his role in Nicolas Jackson’s goal, but he also deserves praise for his age as an England U21 international.
Overall, Palmer and his teammates had a great day, and we can only hope that it was just a fluke.
After the international break, the Premier League will resume with Chelsea facing Arsenal, a far tougher matchup than the trip to Turf Moor.
Pochettino’s side, however, will be feeling confident and hopeful after consecutive victories over the Clarets and west London rivals Fulham.
