‘All done…James 1:2-4…look it up’ – Kevin Durant Unveils Massive Back Tattoo Meaning

It’s difficult to tell how many tattoos Kevin Durant has while he’s wearing an Oklahoma City Thunder jersey. Depending on what you see him wearing, he may or may not be wearing any.

However, he does. And what he has is very massive.

The Durantula shared a photo of his complex back tattoo on his Instagram account.

“All done…James 1:2-4…look it up,” reads the caption.

Once you’ve gotten beyond the fact that Durant’s ink is the size of your living room, you’re free to look it up because, well, the three-time NBA scoring champ wants you to.

He also wants you to appreciate the mural. It certainly took a lot of time and effort, and it appears far more finished than the free-for-all going on around his chest and stomach.

If you haven’t seen what Durant looks like from the other side, here’s a link:

Artistic disorder.

The one on his back may be a little too big for some, but it flows smoothly and the varied pieces complement each other well. It also helps that the angel looks to be carrying a basketball.

To answer your question, yes, this had to be painful.

Durant is skinny—down to the bone thin. This one was applied to him, and it wasn’t pleasant. At situations like this, a little additional padding goes a long way. Simply ask Eddy Curry.

Putting on some additional pounds is currently the least of Durant’s concerns. The word “mature” appears to be misspelled.

The term “mature” appears near the end of the Bible verse in question. Except for some hip, fresh spelling, Durant appears to have a mistake on his skin.

However, Deadspin performed some additional research and discovered that “mature” is written correctly in a new close-up photo of the tattoo.

In any case, we’ll be paying more attention to Durant’s tattoos in the future than we did before.

His entire back, chest, and stomach are covered. Unless this is his final tattoo, which is unlikely given how addictive they are, he’ll have to put them wherever we can all see them.

He’ll have to resort to using his legs or arms instead of his derrière. Or he might join the likes of DeShawn Stevenson, J.R. Smith, and Chris Andersen in getting a tattoo on his neck.

Durant will most likely retire from tattooing after getting a “I heart Russell Westbrook” design tattooed on his forehead (hopefully correctly worded).
