In an emotional Instagram post, NEYMAR announced the birth of his newborn girl with model girlfriend Bruna Biancardi.
The world’s most expensive footballer was granted permission by new club Al-Hilal to fly 7,073 miles back to Brazil this week to witness the birth of his second child.
And their new arrival arrived earlier this morning, and it didn’t take long for the Samba sensation to share the news with his 215 million Instagram followers.
“Our Mavie arrived to complete our lives,” Neymar wrote. Welcome to the family, daughter! We already adore you… thank you for picking us.”
That was followed by a slew of intimate photos, including the pair kissing their daughter and Neymar washing her.
Bruna, 29, stated that the name of the bundle of joy meant “my life” as congratulations responses poured in.
Neymar’s Saudi club Al-Hilal was among the first to send their well wishes, with Olympic 100m hurdler Maurren Maggi adding, “God Bless.”
Mavie is the couple’s first kid, while Neymar already has a 12-year-old son from his former relationship with Carolina Dantas, Davi Lucca.
Neymar has been dating Bruna since 2021, and the couple made their relationship public in January of last year.
She announced their pregnancy in April, before shocking accusations surfaced that Neymar had been suspected of cheating on his model partner.
Bruna resorted to Instagram to address the matter and convey her “disappointment” after being recorded partying with two anonymous girls in a Spanish nightclub.
She wrote: “Good afternoon, I’m aware of what happened & once again I am disappointed but in the final stage of my pregnancy, my focus & worries are directed to my daughter & that is all I will think about in the moment.
“I thank you all for the messages of love.’”
Brazil’s record goalscorer apologised to Bruna back in June after previous allegations of cheating in an emotional social media statement.
He wrote: “Bru. I do this for both of you and your family. Justify the unjustifiable. No need to. But I need you in OUR lives
“I saw how much you were exposed, how much you suffered with all of this and how much you want to be by my side. And I stand beside you.
“I did wrong with you all. I risk saying I’m wrong every day, on and off the pitch. Only I solve my mistakes in personal life at home, in my intimacy with my family and friends…
“All of this hit one of the most special people in my life. The woman I dreamed of following beside me, mother of my child.
“Has it touched his family, which is my family today. She touched her intimacy in such a special moment that is maternity.”
This summer, Neymar left Paris Saint-Germain, who paid a record £198 million to Barcelona for him in 2017.
His team celebrated his debut with a six-goal thrashing of Al-Fayha, before Neymar made his debut for his new club against Tehran in the Champions League before returning to his country.
