NEYMAR announced the birth of his newborn daughter with model girlfriend Bruna Biancardi in an emotional Instagram post.
The world’s most expensive footballer has been granted permission by new club Al-Hilal to fly 7,073 miles back to Brazil to witness the birth of his second kid this week.
And their new arrival arrived earlier this morning, and it didn’t take long for the Samba sensation to share the news with his 215 million Instagram followers.
“Our Mavie arrived to complete our lives,” Neymar wrote. Welcome to the family, daughter! We already adore you… thank you for picking us.”
That was followed by a flood of intimate photographs of the couple kissing and washing their daughter.
Bruna, 29, explained that the name of her bundle of joy meant “my life” as the compliments flowed in.
Al-Hilal, Neymar’s Saudi club, was among the first to convey their condolences, with Olympic 100m hurdler Maurren Maggi adding, “God Bless.”
Mavie is the couple’s first child, while Neymar already has a 12-year-old son, Davi Lucca, from his previous relationship with Carolina Dantas.
Neymar has been seeing Bruna since 2021, and the couple announced their relationship last January.
She revealed their pregnancy in April, just before stunning allegations arose that Neymar had cheated on his model companion.
Bruna took to Instagram to express her “disappointment” after being seen partying with two unknown girls at a Spanish nightclub.
She wrote: “Good afternoon, I’m aware of what happened & once again I am disappointed but in the final stage of my pregnancy, my focus & worries are directed to my daughter & that is all I will think about in the moment.
“I thank you all for the messages of love.’”
Brazil’s record goalscorer apologised to Bruna back in June after previous allegations of cheating in an emotional social media statement.
He wrote: “Bru. I do this for both of you and your family. Justify the unjustifiable. No need to. But I need you in OUR lives
“I saw how much you were exposed, how much you suffered with all of this and how much you want to be by my side. And I stand beside you.
“I did wrong with you all. I risk saying I’m wrong every day, on and off the pitch. Only I solve my mistakes in personal life at home, in my intimacy with my family and friends…
“All of this hit one of the most special people in my life. The woman I dreamed of following beside me, mother of my child.
“Has it touched his family, which is my family today. She touched her intimacy in such a special moment that is maternity.”
Neymar left Paris Saint-Germain this summer, after the club paid a record £198 million to Barcelona for him in 2017.
His team celebrated his debut with a six-goal hammering of Al-Fayha, before Neymar made his new club’s Champions League debut against Tehran before returning to his nation.
