Nicolas Jackon’s hat-trick was not something Mykhailo Mudryk was interested in celebrating after the Chelsea striker chose to score on his own rather than set up his colleague for an easy goal.
After an exciting night of Premier League action, the Blues defeated the opposition 4-1 at the London Stadium.
Within six minutes, Dejan Kulusevski gave Tottenham the lead, and the game quickly spiraled out of control.
Cole Palmer scored the equalizer from the penalty spot after Cristian Romero was sent off for a careless challenge on Enzo Fernadez in the penalty area.
After a late tackle on Raheem Sterling in the second half, Destiny Udogie received a second booking, which made the situation even worse.
In an attempt to protect their lead, Tottenham quickly switched back to an odd formation, but Chelsea eventually broke the offside trap, and Jackson scored his first goal in four games.
That may have enraged Mudryk, but it also created opportunities for the Senegalese striker to score his first hat-trick in royal blue.
Mudryk was waiting patiently for his teammate to square the ball to him so he could finish easily as Jackson was barreling toward the goal. Jackson, though, struck out on his own, eluding Guglielmo Vicario in goal and launching the renowned “siuuu” celebration.
Mudryk appeared to be frustrated as he turned away and headed back to the center circle, as the rest of the Chelsea team raced over to celebrate with Jackson.
Considering Chelsea enjoyed a two-man advantage, many have since called Jackson’s celebrations “shameless”.
However, the 22-year-old will surely benefit much from the goals after receiving criticism for his recent efforts in front of goal.
