Erling Haaland did not have the historic night at the Santiago Bernabeu he may have dreamed of on Tuesday.
But perhaps the most in-form striker in European football has other attractions, some of them made possible by the 432,000 euros that Manchester City are putting into his account every week.
One of them is cars. Not that he is one of those footballers who show a predilection for supercars or show off on social media with the latest Porsche, Ferrari, Bugatti, McLaren or Lamborghini.
In fact, he leaves no trace of what he keeps in his garage on his social media. But from what he drives on his way to training sessions, it is clear that he has a predilection for SUVs.
Rolls-Royce Cullinan – 280,000 euros
The most luxurious of all the models he has been seen driving around the UK is a white Rolls-Royce Cullinan, a car that has also been enjoyed by colleagues such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Thibaut Courtois.
It is powered by a 570bhp 5.7 V12 engine and, despite weighing more than 2.7 tonnes, is capable of 250km/h and 0-60 in 5.2 seconds.
The price of the Cullinan starts at around 280,000 euros, but no one who buys such a car forgets to equip it with expensive options, and in the end it is normal for the price to exceed 350,000 euros.
Range Rover Sport P510e First Edition – 145,500 euros
Much more discreet than the Rolls-Royce, the Range Rover is still one of the cars in which we can often see any elite footballer, especially if he plays in the UK.
In his case, Haaland has been spotted several times in a Range Rover Sport. And although we do not know exactly which version he has chosen, it is possible that it is the P510e First Edition, the most expensive, powerful and best equipped of all the models in the model’s catalogue.
This would mean that the Norwegian has 510 hp at the command of his right foot thanks to the 400 hp provided by the six-cylinder engine and the 143 hp added by the electric motor.
Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S 4Matic Coupe – 181,275 euros
Mercedes has also attracted the attention of the Norwegian player, who has used this model mainly in his time as a player for Borussia Dortmund, the team he played for until 2022.
The AMG-branded German SUV has a top speed of 280 km/h thanks to the 612 hp generated by its aluminium V8 engine, which works in conjunction with a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
Audi RS6 Avant Performance quattro – 151,770 euros
It is the only one of his cars that escapes from the SUV category. The most striking thing about the German model is that it combines the silhouette of a family car (which allows it to have 565 litres of boot space) with the technical and mechanical arguments of a real sports car.
In this case, the Performance version stretches performance to 630 hp and 850 Nm of torque, which allows it to reach 280 km/h and takes just 3.4 seconds to propel it to 100 km/h from a standstill.
