If Manchester United receives a good offer, they might allow Casemiro to go in January.

The Brazil international was a summer signing for United, and while he made a big impact in his first season at Old Trafford, the second has been much harder.

The 31-year-old was reportedly paid £300,000 a week after signing a £60 million contract; considering his age, this is something that the United management and some supporters are aware of.

Despite his recent decline in performance, the midfield player has been connected to being the most well-known person to relocate to Saudi Arabia in 2024.

Casemiro made 51 appearances for Manchester United in his debut season, tallying seven goals. With four goals in his 12 games thus far this season, he leads the team in scoring.

Erik ten Hag anticipates that the Brazilian and Lisandro Martinez will be sidelined for some time due to their hamstring injuries sustained in the 3-0 League Cup defeat to Newcastle. He informed the press:

“Casemiro and Martinez are really strong injuries, I don’t expect them back before Christmas.”

Casemiro might even play for a new team when he returns. United thinks they can recover “a large chunk of their initial expense on the player, in terms of transfer fee and wages,” according to 90min. The club is not actively seeking to sell, they continued, but they would consider relocating the former Real Madrid player for the “right price.”

Although Casemiro’s contract with United still has four years left on it, United may use this as an opportunity to cash in while his stock is still high enough.
