The intentions of 20-year-old Germany international Florian Wirtz, who is linked with transfers to Liverpool, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, or Manchester City, have been disclosed by the player’s father from Bayer Leverkusen.

Wirtz, who has contributed to nine assists and six goals for Leverkusen in all competitions so far this season, will look to increase those figures on Thursday when Xabi Alonso’s squad travels to Qarabag for a Europa League match.

As per his father, the youngster’s primary objective is to achieve success with Leverkusen prior to contemplating a possible summer transfer.

“Becoming the German champion with Leverkusen is the primary objective,” his advisor and fellow Leverkusen player Hans-Joachim Wirtz told Sport Bild.

Wirtz is not about to force his way out of the club where he made his professional début after spending a decade in the youth academy of Koln. He is contractually bound until 2027.

Upon his eventual departure from Leverkusen, he will exclusively join a club that will provide him with a significant advancement opportunity—one that he considers capable of contending for the Champions League.
