Man United suffered a double injury scare in their 1-0 Premier League win over Luton Town.
Manchester United will have to wait 24 hours to determine the full extent of Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen’s injuries suffered in the win against Luton.
United’s injury difficulties worsened on Saturday when Danish duo Eriksen and Hojlund were both pulled off during their 1-0 triumph at Old Trafford.
Eriksen was replaced by Mason Mount in the last minutes of the first half, while Hojlund went down twice holding his hamstring before being replaced just over 10 minutes later.
United’s immediate concerns have been alleviated by the fact that they are about to embark on a two-week international break, but they will be hoping to have the duo available when they return to action.
When asked about the current injury worry, Ten Hag was unable to provide much insight into the severity of their setbacks: “In this moment, I can’t comment anything about it because I don’t know the assessment.
You have to wait 24 hours. Give them and the medical (team) 24 hours to see what is the problem, if there is a problem.”
When asked about the club’s persistent injury issues, Ten Hag noted how having so many setbacks has impacted developing momentum and a consistent style of play.
“That is our season; so many injuries. Therefore, you have a squad, but we have talked many times about it. Hopefully players are coming back and those new injuries aren’t too bad,” he add.
