Hollywood action actor Jason Statham has advertised his little beachfront home in Malibu, California for about $20 million. Clearly, he’s looking for a “fast and furious” sale.
The four-bedroom, rustic villa on the Pacific coast was bought by 52-year-old Statham, who is most known for playing the tough character Deckard Shaw in the Fast and Furious movie franchise, ten years ago.
He allegedly spent $10.6 million for the beachfront property in 2009. He may earn handsomely if he sells for even close to the $19.95 million asking price. This amounts to a value gain of around $1 million on average per year.
The breathtaking setting of the house is a major factor in its appeal. “The Black House” is tucked away from prying eyes beyond the guarded gates of Malibu’s exclusive Colony enclave, situated on a private beach near a peninsula’s tip.
A-list actors including Tom Hanks, Sting, Robert Redford, Edward Norton, Paul Reiser, and Larry Hagman have all called the Colony home.
With three bedrooms and three bathrooms, the 3,900 square foot main home can accommodate large gatherings. It has an eerie aspect due to the black paint on its wood shingles. In the backyard sits a detached guest cottage with a one-bedroom apartment over a two-car garage.
Almost every window in the newly remodeled house has stunning views of the Pacific Ocean crashing, which is by far its greatest advantage. The large decks are perfect for watching surfers at nearby Surfrider beach or another gorgeous California sunset.
