Nicolas Jackson, a striker for Chelsea, is fast winning over supporters at Stamford Bridge.
Nicolas Jackson started the week with a hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur and finished the weekend with another goal against Manchester City.
In a recent 4–4 tie at Stamford Bridge, he did not back down either; in a video posted on X, the 22-year-old was seen ordering Mateo Kovacic to shut up.
The incident occurred shortly after Cole Palmer calmly scored a penalty kick for Chelsea following Ruben Dias’ foul on Armando Broja at the end of the game.
Palmer has now scored four goals for Chelsea this season; his other three came against Burnley, Tottenham, and Arsenal.
Nicolas Jackson improving Chelsea’s situation
Jackson had a somewhat slow start to life at Stamford Bridge, but in Chelsea’s last two games, he has significantly improved things.
It’s quite amazing to score four goals against Tottenham and City.
Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig is one of the attackers that Chelsea is still rumored to be interested in, but if Jackson can maintain this level of play, the team won’t really need to go out and acquire a new center-forward.
Broja demonstrated his worth by winning the penalty for the Blues yesterday. Chelsea wouldn’t need to sign a No. 9 in January or the summer of next year if he can maintain his fitness and effectiveness.
What occurs between now and the start of 2024 could have a significant impact. Jackson may not be purchased if Mauricio Pochettino’s team is close to finishing in the top four and Jackson continues to score goals. However, if not, they will most likely enter the transfer market, according to all of the current rumors.
