Manchester United professional footballer Casemiro has launched his own esports organisation, CaseEsports in 2020.
Along with the organization’s formation, CaseEsports confirmed that its initial foray into the business will be through CS:GO after recruiting a full Brazilian team.
As Casemiro attempts to create his new organization in Spain, the team, which includes Paulo “land1n” Felipe, Denis “dzt” Fisher, Felipe Delboni, Yan “yepz” Pedretti, and Vinicius “n1ssim” Pereira, will be based in Madrid.
In addition, an office and gaming house will be given to the gamers so they can train and compete around the nation. It is anticipated that the team will participate in the DreamHack Open qualifications in December.
Casemiro said as much to HLTV: “This team was created out of a hobby of mine that I really enjoy.
I wanted to take it to a professional level, and just like in my career, I want them to be the best. I know that creating a new team and winning titles will take time and require a lot of work, but I hope that the players and the fans will really enjoy this project.”
As part of its launch, CaseEsports has already enlisted a number of partners, as you can see on the organization’s homepage. Sponsors of Casemiro’s new endeavor include the peripherals company HyperX, the Spanish glasses brand Hawkers, BŕH, and the gaming chair manufacturer Drift.
A growing number of athletes are trying to invest in or launch their own esports brands in the past few months. It was disclosed last week that Sergio Aguero, a football player for Man City, had founded KRU Esports, an esports organization.
JuJu Smith-Schuster, a wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers, has made investments in the field after founding his own gaming company, Team Diverge. Basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers Dion Waiters has also made investments in Centric Gaming, a Miami-based esports and lifestyle company.
