On Saturday of this week, the Reds travel to the Etihad Stadium to face off in a Premier League top-of-the-table contest. City have already suffered a number of injury setbacks this international break, as Mateo Kovacic (Croatia), Nathan Ake (Holland), and Matheus Nunez (Portugal) have all withdrew from their respective national selections. John Stones and Kevin De Buryne have been incapacitated for some time.

Last night, Haaland started the 2-0 victory over the Faroe Islands for Norway off the bench. He was sidelined in the final phases with an ankle injury, despite having encountered the same problem earlier in the season while playing for Manchester City.

After the match, the Norwegian side’s physician Ola Sand updated City’s medical staff on the striker and insisted he is in communication with them. According to Vg, Sand stated, “It was essentially identical to what transpired against Bournemouth a week and a half ago. Additionally, he has had it before. A minor twist occurs in his tibia, rendering him marginally susceptible. It hurts intensely at first, but then subsides relatively rapidly.

“He will now undergo some treatment, after which there will be some tranquility and rest, and we will check on him the following morning.” City has already been contacted. “Erling has already communicated with [chief medical officer] Mario Pafundi and City.”
