Casemiro ‘makes final decision’ on his future at Manchester United

This season, Casemiro has struggled with his form and conditioning at Manchester United.

Brazil temporary manager Fernando Diniz, who also manages Fluminense, expressed sadness for Casemiro’s recent injury.

The current injury blow keeps the defensive midfielder out for the rest of the season, which, despite his form, was not the news Erik ten Hag wanted for his injury-plagued side.

Casemiro’s future at Manchester United has been questioned as a result of his poor form and continued injuries.

The latest is that Casemiro does not want to leave Old Trafford in January but may be approached by clubs in Saudi Arabia at the end of the season, which should come as no surprise. According to 90Min, there is a lot of interest in Saudi Arabia, but they will not make any hasty moves in January, and I don’t see any reason why Casemiro would leave Old Trafford in the middle of the season.

As United supporters, we want to see Casemiro get back to his best for the second half of the season when he returns from injury. Any team would miss a player like him, especially when he is at his best, as we saw last season.

Meanwhile, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano provided an update in his usual CaughtOffside blog.

“Currently I’m told it’s still quiet with regards to Saudi Pro League clubs and Casemiro,” Romano wrote. “No concrete proposals or negotiations are taking place. We’ll have to see what happens in the summer, but it depends on a lot of factors including Saudi plans, Man United decisions and more.

“I think he’s still a very important player, but has just been unlucky with his injuries.”

Casemiro isn’t the only significant player missing for Manchester United. Ten Hag’s defense is also missing Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw. Hopefully, when they return, the results will improve.
