Liverpool is boosted by the news that Fluminense is willing to consider offers for Andre Trindade that total £30 million.
The Brazil international’s signing was deemed to be “the best placed to close” for the Reds.
According to Football Insider, Liverpool has been informed that Fluminense will accept a bid of £30 million as January draws closer and closer.
After trying to recruit him in the summer, Andre allegedly “ticks a lot of boxes” for Jurgen Klopp, and the German manager might eventually land him in the winter transfer window.
The 22-year-old can play on the left of a midfield three in a box-to-box role where he can maximize his dribbling and precise passing, but his primary duty is defensive midfield.
More than anything, Andre’s signing would provide Klopp more consistency in his team.
This season, Liverpool has struggled far too often to dictate the pace of games in the absence of a natural number six.
Despite not being a defensive midfielder, Alexis Mac Allister has performed admirably. However, while he can distribute the ball well, he is not equipped to thwart counterattacks.
We will soon witness Mac Allister at his finest when he is moving forward and isn’t as concerned with defense if Andre comes in January.
