David Beckham, a former England international, reportedly extended an offer for David de Gea, a legendary Manchester United player, to join his Inter Miami squad.
De Gea, who left Manchester United in the summer after the club reneged on offering him a new contract, remains a free agent at this time.
At Manchester United, the Spanish goalkeeper was substituted with Andre Onana.
Since departing from the Red Devils, the 33-year-old has received and declined numerous offers, including those from the Saudi Pro League and Inter Milan.
Although he would prefer to return to La Liga, Real Betis and Valencia are the only clubs interested in signing him because they could not offer him a contract comparable to the £350,000-per-week he earned with Manchester United.
Beckham, on the other hand, is ‘quietly optimistic’ that he can persuade his fellow Manchester United legend to join Inter Miami and compete in the Major League Soccer (MLS), as reported by the Daily Star.
De Gea would rub shoulders with the likes of Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets should he join Inter Miami.
