When Erik ten Hag’s squad fell behind Nottingham Forest 2-0 early in August, Fernandes took the game by storm and was instrumental in an incredible comeback. Christian Eriksen cut the deficit to one goal, and our number eight sent Casemiro up for the equalizer.

After that, Bruno got past the Forest defense and was tackled by Joe Worrall, which led to the defender’s dismissal. Then, following Marcus Rashford’s successful penalty kick, our captain converted to seal the comeback.

More recently, Fernandes scored in the last seconds at Craven Cottage to give the Reds the three points against Fulham, once again making the difference.

Not to be forgotten is his game-winning volley against Burnley in September, which helped United win 1-0 away from home and was voted Goal of the Month by the Premier League and the team.
