On the sixth day of the 2026 World Cup qualifying round, Uruguay defeated Bolivia 3-0 in front of a raucous Centenario Stadium today.
Approximately 15 minutes into the first half, Darwin Núñez scored the opening goal for Uruguay following three perilous attempts at the Bolivian goal.
Nico de la Cruz took a corner kick in the 39th minute, which caused a commotion in the Bolivian goal and resulted in an own goal that extended the lead to 2-0.
