Chelsea wants to sell Romelu Lukaku to raise money for their own striker search since they believe they may require a goal scorer with track record.

With two and a half years remaining on his deal, Chelsea’s highest-paid player is still the Belgian striker.

Under Jose Mourinho, Lukaku has found his game at Roma, where he has nine goals in 14 games and four last night for his nation.

Though many have questioned his devotion at times, particularly at Chelsea, his ability to score goals has never really been in doubt.

Chelsea will now try to capitalize on his success, as Roma, Juventus, and even AC Milan are reportedly highly interested in his talents, according to an Evening Standard story.

If the 30-year-old striker maintains his excellent play, Roma is willing to pay Chelsea’s £37 million asking price for him.

The 30-year-old made it plain that he would have chosen to remain in Italy, where he has always performed well, by declining an offer to relocate to Saudi Arabia last summer.

Despite having nearly 11 players to balance the budget, the Blues have spent over a billion pounds building a new club in the last two transfer windows.

Along with Kai Havertz, Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic, and N’Golo Kante, the team also lost Edouard Mendy and Kalidou Koulibaly.

Since then, Chelsea has added players like Axel Disasi, Cole Palmer, and Nicolas Jackson as the owners try to create a truly successful venture.
