Liverpool might recruit a “immense” new £50M + player for Klopp

According to reports, Liverpool has been after a “immense” football player for some time. A recent development indicates that they may soon have their man.

Liverpool want January signings

Even though Jurgen Klopp has assembled a strong team that can contend in four separate tournaments, the Reds may yet attempt to add players when the January transfer window opens. In Premier League title contests, Liverpool’s team frequently needs to perform flawlessly against Manchester City. However, at the moment, a few chinks in the armor are marginally holding them back.

Even though Alexis Mac Allister is generally performing well enough there, the lack of a true defensive midfielder like Fabinho is debatable. Additionally, the team’s defensive depth appears to be lacking, as a versatile player who can play both left and center back is needed, especially since Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson are getting older.

Andre, a midfielder for Fluminense, may have become Liverpool’s most frequently mentioned January transfer target, but the Merseysiders may have other targets in mind for the upcoming transfer window.

Goncalo Inacio transfer update

Liverpool has reportedly been eyeing Sporting CP star Goncalo Inacio for more than two years and is preparing a bid for the center back in January, according to TEAMtalk. With a £52 million release clause, the Reds are reportedly “at the front of the queue” for his services.

“Goncalo Inacio is re-emerging as a January defender target for Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp seeks a new defensive partner for Virgil van Dijk, but the Reds will be forced to pay up, TEAMtalk has learned.

“Liverpool are keen to add another option to their defence after a summer of rebuilding their squad. Key players left and a new midfield took priority leaving manager Jurgen Klopp in need of defensive reinforcements. The club hoped to add a centre-back in summer but were unable to bring in a quality option. The signings of Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch took priority.”

This is incredibly great news, as Inacio, only 22 years old, is already a vital member of Sporting despite having a ton of playing potential. Premier League Panel on X has praised the Liverpool transfer target as “immense” for his “recovery speed” and noted that he has already made 139 appearances for his current team, which is amazing for his young age.

Inacio may be the ideal choice for the Reds because he can play both a central and left-sided defensive role. Although he obviously wouldn’t be cheap, he is a player who has the potential to develop into a world-class player in the years to come.

A recent update indicates that Liverpool is in the lead to sign Inacio for a fee of over £50 million, indicating that they truly view him as their top transfer priority for January and are prepared to shell out a lot of cash for him. Although Klopp has made significant changes to his midfield, it seems like it’s time to focus on other areas of the field.
