A decaying single-family eyesore with a broken fence and a dismal yard is unlikely to have ties to the colorful Latino rapper Armando “Pitbull” Pérez.
Over the last 10 years, the “Mr. 305” guy has spent a lot of time looking down on the rest of Miami from the top 40 charts, generating money from record agreements, and frequenting South Florida’s trendiest nightclubs. Mr. Worldwide’s multiple interests include restaurants and at least one extra residence.
Pitbull’s early photographs are almost too Miami for the locals to bear. Peacocks, not lightly dressed people, can be found reclining at one Pinecrest property. In place of love messages from adoring fans, the front door is pasted with warnings of code violations for dilapidated structures and standing water. Pitbull was likewise nowhere to be found.
The house was sold in 2015, and the neighborhood alleges it has been vacant since then. According to county documents, Enpi Gao LLC, a corporation registered to the same address as Pitbull’s record label, Mr 305 Inc, and hundreds of other firms associated with the popular rapper’s empire, paid $850,000 for the property in February 2015.
Enpi Gao was overseen by Michael Calderon, one of Pitbull’s personal managers at the time. Pitbull and his wife bought the house when his wife worked as a broker, according to a builder whose sign appeared in the yard. Pitbull’s attorney, Leslie Zigel, indicated that his client denied ownership of the property and had no further comments.
