Chelsea have so much confident in 22-year-old, zero plans to replace him

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia of Napoli is being linked to Chelsea; his arrival at Stamford Bridge could obstruct Mykhailo Mudryk’s path to the starting lineup. However, Romano revealed on Substack that they do not currently have any intentions to recruit a new winger.

According to the Italian journalist, “they still believe” that the 22-year-old will play a significant wide player role for them in the future and have not made the decision to solidify his place at the moment.

Since joining Chelsea, Mudryk has struggled. A coach from Shakhtar Donetsk, his previous squad, attributes this to the Blues’ lack of cohesive play. However, he has since improved. He didn’t score for the team at all the previous season, but he has already scored twice this year.

The Ukrainian hasn’t been at Stamford Bridge for very long, despite the fact that he has generally struggled there.

Having said that, there’s a chance that someone like Kvaratskhelia will be too good to pass up. He contributed 22 goals in Serie A to help Napoli win the championship last season, and he was fantastic.

Mauricio Pochettino would be better served to focus on developing Mudryk, on whom the club has clearly spent a significant amount of money, if Chelsea does not intend to acquire a player of that kind.

In the end, then, even if the Blues should remain believing in such a significant commitment, they should also leave their options open in case a fantastic chance arises.
