Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp describes Jarell Quansah as a “Virgil 2.0 reloaded” in his squad. Quansah, a Liverpool academy graduate, has been outstanding this season.
Earlier this season, the English teenager earned his debut against Newcastle United. He has made nine senior team appearances since then. Over the last 15 years, the Anfield academy ace has progressed through the ranks. Before making his senior debut this season, he was a standout for the U-21 team. Furthermore, many people believe he has come a long way in the last several months.
Quansah also made an impression when on loan at Bristol Rovers last season. In addition, he won the U-19 Euro Championship with England in 2021. He is presently a regular member of England’s U-21 squad.
Jurgen Klopp certainly thinks highly of the 21-year-old center defender. In a video posted on X by O’Conor, the German refers to Quansah as “Virgil 2.0 reloaded.” Klopp admitted earlier this month that he would have been astonished by his talent if someone had inquired about him during pre-season. He told The Independent.
“If you had asked me before the season (if) he’d be that good, I would have been surprised.” But I’ve seen him every day since then, and I’m no longer startled.
It’s fantastic to have a youngster from our own academy with such promise and quality. We’ll see where he ends up, but it looks potential.
There was talk of him going on loan, but we said no, which was certainly a wise decision.”
Jarell Quansah will undoubtedly be excited and will continue to work hard on a daily basis. Furthermore, Jurgen Klopp will undoubtedly turn him into a monster since he knows how to get the most out of his young players.
