In a Snapchat story, DJ Khaled, a hip-hop producer and social media influencer, said, “When you stop making excuses and work hard and go hard, you will be very successful.”
It may sound corny, but given the billionaire’s upcoming purchase of a vast Florida house, it rings true.
According to Wall Street Journal sources, Khaled, who has 4.16 million Twitter followers and 12.1 million Instagram followers, is under contract to buy a palatial Miami Beach property advertised for $25.9 million.
The sale does not appear to have been completed, and the purchase price has not been calculated. Since Khaled famously Snapchatted the birth of his son in 2016, fans are almost likely to receive plenty of exclusive glances at the new home.
Khaled, whose real name is Khaled Mohamed Khaled and who has worked with Kanye West and Snoop Dogg as well as produced his own songs, would be given a nearly 13,000-square-foot, five-bedroom main residence. It has a home theater with luxury seats, a double-height lobby, a marble fireplace, and an open chef’s kitchen.
A bi-level pavilion, an outdoor shower, a four-bedroom guesthouse, and a nearly 80-foot swimming pool are located outside.
Khaled is buying the land from Michael Lerner, who made a fortune in the 1980s by selling “Baby on Board” car signage. Lerner built the house after purchasing the plot of land for $4.95 million in 2013. He is reportedly relocating to Palm Beach.
Eloy Carmenate and Mick Duchon of Douglas Elliman, as well as Orli Rudolph of NextHome Realty Professionals, who is representing Khaled in his purchase, declined to comment to The Post.
