The 21-year-old Liverpool loanee wants to return to Anfield and play next season

Tyler Morton has pledged to get into Liverpool’s senior team after returning from his second Championship loan spell of the season.

The England youth international has already earned the respect of Jurgen Klopp and struck up a friendship with Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott.

And now, speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Morton has expressed his desire to be a part of Jurgen Klopp’s first-team ambitions, after excelling on loan with Hull City.

“They’re a fantastic team and I’m excited to get back there. Yeah, I hope so [on if playing for England’s U-21s could help him break into Liverpool’s first team].

“That’s the long run. I’m kind of a realistic type of person and I think about the now (at Hull). But that would be lovely and is where I want to be.”

With Thiago Alcantara apparently likely to leave Liverpool next summer, a midfield slot might soon become available for an aspiring player trying to break into the Premier League.

And Morton could be the ideal candidate for such a role, with the 21-year-old already highly regarded at Liverpool after making his debut under Klopp two seasons ago.

While it may require a significant development boost, Morton has demonstrated enough in his limited time as a senior player to suggest that he has the potential to become a Premier League superstar.
