Manchester United are now in a difficult situation.
Dimitar Berbatov, a former Manchester United player, has weighed in on Mason Mount’s move to Old Trafford.
Mount joined the club in the summer for £55 million but has battled with form and injuries. The former Chelsea player has made eight appearances and has yet to score, assist, or create a good chance.
Dimitar Berbatov presented an appraisal of Mount to Betfair. Berbatov went on to say, “So, he’s the player I want to see give more and produce more because in some games.”
“It appears that he doesn’t know how to fit into that system,” Berbatov continued. He appears to be disoriented.”
Berbatov joined Manchester United in a big-money deal and is well aware of Mount’s situation. He went on to say, “He was bought for big money, which brings big expectations, but not only that, his stress levels will be high.”
Mount’s quality and overall talent, however, have been backed by the former Premier League Golden Boot winner, who stated, “It’s not working out, so now is the opportunity to stay concentrated and just be in the game and start to show the quality you showed at Chelsea.”
