Not long ago, Everton officially received a 10-point deduction for violating financial rules. Doubts related to Man City arose after Everton received a fine, because the blue half of Manchester was accused of financial fraud with more than 100 violations from the 2009/10 to 2022/23 season.

Man City has not yet received any punishment. Recently, coach Pep Guardiola was asked about concerns surrounding Man City’s “safety” and he insisted that his team did nothing wrong.

Specifically, Pep said: “I know that everyone is waiting for Man City to be punished. I can feel it, but wait, we are innocent. At least at this time, Man City is innocent. Please wait until everything is clearly announced. Then I will explain everything clearly.

I will not change my opinion about the accusations aimed at Man City. Between us and Everton are two different cases. I won’t say anything about Everton because I don’t know everything. Everyone wonders why Everton was fined but Man City was not, but according to my lawyer, both cases are different.”

The coach born in 1971 affirmed that he will stick with Man City even though this team may be demoted. He said: “The possibility of me staying with Man City after the team dropped to League One (ie the 3rd place in England) is higher than the possibility of me staying after the team won the Champions League.”

Man City’s captain also admitted that Erling Haaland still had problems in the recent training session with the team. But he also hopes this striker will be in the best shape when facing Liverpool.
