BREAKING: Injury Status of Kristaps Porzingis In The Celtics’ Enthralling Game

Kristaps Porzingis is currently sidelined for the remainder of the contest on Friday.

The Boston Celtics will travel to Florida on Friday afternoon to face the Orlando Magic. 

Kristaps Porzingis sustained an injury during the contest and has since been ruled out for the remainder of the day. 

In 22 minutes of action, Porzingis recorded nine points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals on 4-of-10 shooting from the field and 1/4 from three-point range.

14 games prior to today, Porzingis had accumulated the following statistics: 19.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.8 blocks per contest, on an average of 55.3% from the field and 32.9% from three-point range.

The Celtics have a 12-3 record in their first 15 games to earn the first seed in the Eastern Conference. 

Recent opponents (119-116) aside, they have an impressive 7-3 record in their last ten contests. They defeated the Milwaukee Bucks in that contest. 

Porzingis recorded twenty-one points, six rebounds, and one assist in twenty-seven minutes of action, on 9/15 shooting from the field and 2/7 from three-point range.

The Celtics will play their next game in Boston on Sunday evening, when they will be hosting Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks. 

Porzingis is in his inaugural campaign with the Boston Celtics subsequent to his trade (via the Washington Wizards) during the offseason. 

In addition to his career averages of 19.6 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.8 blocks per contest, the 2018 NBA All-Star shoots 35.8% from three-point range and 45.5% from the field.
