What is the backstory?

TuttoJuve reports that Manchester United are interested in signing Adrien Rabiot in the summer of 2024.

Rabiot’s contract with Juventus expires at the end of the season. United are interested in signing the France international midfielder on a free transfer.

TuttoJuve reports that Juventus is working hard to persuade Rabiot to sign a new contract, but the former PSG star has yet to sign anything.

According to the Italian press, United head coach Erik ten Hag is “pushing the English club to move for” Rabiot, who is paid £148,000 a week (SalarySport) at the end of the season. Arsenal has been linked with him as well.

Manchester United should not sign Adrien Rabiot right away

Manchester United, in my opinion, should not rush into a deal for Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

Rabiot is, without a doubt, a talented player. After all, he plays for Juventus and has made over 40 appearances for France.

Rabiot, on the other hand, is now 28 years old. True, the midfielder is at his best right now, but United must also consider their long-term objectives.

Casemiro joined United in his prime as well, but the Brazilian is not having the best of things right now.

If United wanted to sign a midfielder in the summer of 2024, I believe they should go for someone in their mid-30s who can develop under Ten Hag.

Rabiot has one goal and two assists in 11 Serie A appearances for Juventus this season.
