Casemiro, 31, joined United in the summer of 2022 in a £60 million transfer from Real Madrid.

However, after a promising debut season at Old Trafford, the Brazilian has underperformed this season and is being linked with a January exit.

According to talkSPORT, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who is due to buy a 25% share in Manchester United in the coming days, is eager to cash in on Casemiro when the January transfer market opens.

However, his £350,000-a-week salaries could be a stumbling block to a future transfer, with most teams priced out of a bid for the Brazilian.

The Saudi Pro League is one possible departure path for Casemiro, with numerous clubs reportedly interested.

This might include Al Nassr, the club of his former Real Madrid and Manchester United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.

Casemiro has already voiced his love for the Portuguese great and his professionalism.

Ronaldo described the Brazilian as one of just three ‘great professionals’ in Erik ten Hag’s squad in an explosive interview with Piers Morgan shortly before his departure from United.

“In Manchester United I can mention [Diogo] Dalot, he’s young, but very professional but I don’t doubt that he’s going to have longevity in football because he’s young, he’s smart, intelligent and he’s very professional,” said Ronaldo.

“Probably [Lisandro] Martinez, Casemiro is in his 30s, but I will say Dalot.”

Casemiro, who has three and a half years left on his United contract, is presently out with a hamstring injury.

According to the Manchester Evening News, he has no plans to leave the club in January.

The Brazilian is said to ‘not consider’ the idea of leaving the club in the middle of the season, while a summer move is possible.
