Liverpool is the favorite to sign a highly promising £52 million Brazilian player

Liverpool is still connected to new Brazilian talent that is just starting to emerge.

Lucas Beraldo, a defender for Sao Paulo, has been one of them players. One of South America’s most promising defenders, the 20-year-old is emerging.

And Liverpool knows full well how brilliant Beraldo has the potential to be, according to Brazilian newspaper UOL.

They say the Reds are now in the lead in the race to recruit the young player as he starts to become a contender for the Brazil national team.

According to reports, Liverpool “know very well” that Beraldo has talent, even though he could use a bit more experience before joining players like Alisson Becker in Fernando Diniz’s squad.

Liverpool is chasing Beraldo the hardest

Liverpool seems to have significantly stepped up their scouting efforts in South America over the last few months.

In addition to their ongoing connection with Andre Trindade, the Reds are also rumored to be considering Federico Redondo and Gabriel Moscardo.

You get the feeling that one of these brilliant young talents may not be too far away, even though they haven’t signed any yet.

It had appeared for a while that Andre would be that man. However, since connections to the 22-year-old have cooled off significantly, Beraldo might replace that position.

After all, it appears that Liverpool is looking to bolster their defense with a left-sided center back. Beraldo, not surprisingly, fits that description given the links.

He is still possibly a little raw, as UOL hint, so if he decides to move to Anfield, patience would be required

It would appear to be a wise addition for Liverpool, though, given rumors that Beraldo may soon be a full international.

Virgil van Dijk doesn’t appear to be slowing down at the moment. Consequently, one could see a scenario in which Beraldo temporarily steps in as Virgil’s understudy.

The center defender, who is such a rising prospect, apparently has a £52 million release clause [Trivela], so he won’t come cheap. Even though it’s unlikely that Liverpool would part with that, it appears like they’ll be competitive for Beraldo.
