Kobbie Mainoo earned praise from Manchester United supporters, while Bruno Fernandes lauded his performance as ‘amazing’

On his first Premier League start, Kobbie Mainoo, a midfielder for Manchester United, demonstrated why all the excitement was about an almost flawless performance.

On his first start, teenager Kobbie Mainoo helped Manchester United to a 3-0 victory, proving he was worth the wait.

Alejandro Garnacho’s early goal eased the tense mood at Goodison Park, while Mainoo, 18, maintained composure.

Before that goal in the third minute, the young midfield player had already spotted the ball and made a couple early touches to help United advance the ball upfield.

Kobbie Mainoo impressive

Manchester United supporters praised Kobbie Mainoo, and Bruno Fernandes called his performance “amazing.”

This season, United’s midfield has lacked balance; yet, with Mainoo in there, it was effortless yesterday.

When the score was 1-0, Mainoo even cleared a ball off the line. It was an essential piece of work.

He wrote on Instagram after the game: “First Premier League start and a big 3 points, can’t ask for much more. Thanks for the support Reds️”

Several of his Manchester United colleagues responded, including Hannibal Mejbri, a second-half substitute with whom he previously played at the youth level.

Galatasaray decision ahead

It wasn’t Kobbie Mainoo’s outstanding performance that happened once. His assured performance against Leeds, Lyon, and Arsenal during the preseason, which preceded his injury against Real Madrid, suggests that he is a player who is here to stay.

United must decide whether to start him against Galatasaray in the middle of the week. That is a big request, but so is traveling to Newcastle for the following game.

We assume that Mainoo won’t start three times a week, but he probably will start one. All Erik ten Hag needs to do is choose.
