Toulouse forward Frank Magri has lifted the lid on his post-match snub from Darwin Nunez after Liverpool’s loss in Toulouse

Toulouse defeated Liverpool 3-2 in their Europa League Group E match earlier this month.

After Toulouse defeated Liverpool, Frank Magri, a forward for Toulouse, revealed that Darwin Nunez had ignored him after the game.

Liverpool lost to Toulouse in the Europa League earlier this month at Stadium TFC, shockingly, and a contentious decision made by the video assistant referee denied them an equalizer in stoppage time. In the seventh minute of extra time, Jarell Quansah scored a goal to tie the score at three, but it was disallowed because Alexis Mac Allister was found to have handled the ball.

Aron Donnum and Thijs Dallinga strikes put the Reds behind before Cristian Casseres’ own goal gave Jurgen Klopp’s team a lifeline. However, Magri, the replacement, gave his team a two-goal lead again before Diogo Jota added a late consolation goal.

Despite the outcome, Liverpool led Group E, but Nunez was incensed after the match and wouldn’t shake hands with Magri. Nevertheless, the 24-year-old was expecting a snub after fighting with the forward throughout the match.

“We got into a bit of a fight during the match over one or two duels,” he recalled to French publication La Depeche.

“So at the end, when I see him coming… Before I hold out my hand, I see his look and I’m actually expecting it. That’s why I laugh afterwards.”

Before he added: “I was expecting this little wind. It’s really anecdotal. It didn’t stop me from sleeping.”

The Reds will host LASK at Anfield on Thursday night to resume their Europa League campaign. Before the last matchday, Liverpool would secure a top-two spot in the group with a win or a draw.
