Chelsea have reportedly taken the first step in their pursuit of AC Milan striker Francesco Camarda, who has been linked with a move to the Premier League.

Camarda became the league’s youngest player at the weekend, coming off the bench in Milan’s 1-0 win over Fiorentina. When he replaced Luka Jovic in the 83rd minute, the striker became the club’s youngest player, breaking Paolo Maldini’s record.

Milan’s injury crisis led Stefano Pioli to rely on youth off the bench. The outstanding forward, for whom Milan had to get a special exemption due to the Italian FA’s policy of not allowing players under the age of 16, has been mentioned everywhere in recent days, but clubs appear to be lined up to sign him.

Chelsea is one of the prospective suitors for Camarda, according to 90min. Several European clubs are keeping an eye on the situation at Milan, including Manchester City and Liverpool. According to the article, the Blues have contacted the striker’s family in the hopes of learning about his preferences.

Unfortunately for the Premier League three, English teams are not permitted to sign players under the age of 18 who do not have British citizenship. Because of the European Union’s eased migratory regulations, teams in Europe have a free license to recruit any superstar under the age of 16.

Camarda reportedly scored over 400 goals during his stint in Milan’s academy, which explains why some of Europe’s top clubs are interested in him.

Camarda and his family, however, are thought to have settled in Milan, and it is highly likely that he will sign a professional deal once he turns 16.
