The Blues could turn to 56-year-old manager if they make the decision to sack Mauricio Pochettino

According to reports, one manager is now in line to assume the Chelsea position if it becomes vacant in the near future.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, if the Blues decide to fire current manager Mauricio Pochettino, they may turn to Massimiliano Allegri.

While there has been a lot of positive discussion around Pochettino’s tenure at Stamford Bridge thus far, the position in the league table does not indicate much progress has been made.

Those who have watched some of the team’s performances, notably against pacesetters Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City, will know that last season was just the tip of the iceberg.

However, the typical speculation about a probable managerial change has not subsided. Pochettino is still under pressure, according to reports.

Last time out, the Argentine was forced to watch from the terraces after serving his suspension for receiving three yellow cards this season.

He was probably not thrilled with what he saw. The Blues were brutally defeated by Newcastle, producing their least spectacular performance of the season.

As speculation about his future has become louder, the typical suspects appear to be emerging as individuals whose names will be drawn from a hat.

Allegri has long been rumored to be a possibility for the post at Stamford Bridge, but the opportunity may now present itself after he declined to pledge his future to current club Juventus.

The owners, on the other hand, should keep their word and give Pochettino time to work with his youthful team.
